GDPR Rights

Access, correction, erasure, portability and privacy requests.

Draft for review · Updated 2 November 2026. Operator details and operational commitments require confirmation before adoption. This is not legal advice.

Rights you can exercise

Under UK GDPR you can request information about processing, access to personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure where applicable, restriction of processing and portability of qualifying data. You can object to legitimate-interest processing and direct marketing. Rights have legal exceptions; erasure is not absolute where records are still lawfully required.

Making a request

Email hello@yourstoryyourway.co.uk with the account email, the right you wish to exercise and enough detail to locate the information. Never send a password. We may request proportionate identity verification, particularly before releasing messages or deleting an account.

The usual response deadline is one month from receipt, with permitted extensions for complex or numerous requests and an explanation to you. Requests are ordinarily free; any refusal or fee must have a lawful basis. You can complain to the ICO if dissatisfied.

Consent and licensing records

If casting services are introduced, consent videos, licence PDFs and contract proof should be protected, accessible only to authorised people and retained according to a disclosed purpose and schedule. A Permissions Vault, expiry alerts and automated revocation workflow are planned concepts, not working features on this site.

Withdrawing consent applies prospectively and does not automatically make earlier lawful processing unlawful. Contractual usage licences and privacy consent are distinct; support must assess both and stop uses that are no longer permitted.
