Community Guidelines

Standards for a respectful creative community.

Draft for review · Updated 2 November 2026. Operator details and operational commitments require confirmation before adoption. This is not legal advice.

Respect every creative sector

Actors, singers, bands, film studios, musicians, writers, record labels, companies and reporters must treat each other respectfully. No hate, racism, harassment, bullying, threats, impersonation or fake profiles. Honest disagreement is welcome; abuse is not.

Content that is not permitted

Do not post crude or pornographic content, nudity, sexual content, graphic gore or violence, drug promotion, self-harm promotion, spam, scams or deceptive links. These rules apply to posts, films, songs, images, articles, blogs, adverts, reviews, jobs and direct messages. Supportive discussion of wellbeing must not encourage harm.

Rights, jobs and reviews

Only upload films, songs, scripts, photos and voice performances you own or have permission to use. Do not clone a person’s voice or likeness without lawful permission. Jobs must be genuine and must not exploit applicants. Articles must not promote hate; advertising must be truthful and suitable for this community. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences, not incentives, impersonation or retaliation.

Enforcement and reporting

Breaches can lead to content removal or account restriction or termination. Serious threats or suspected crimes may be referred to appropriate authorities. In-app reports, member blocking, a private administrator moderation queue and basic text/link checks are available. New media uploads stay private pending manual safety review. Automated visual and voice screening is not yet available; no system guarantees detection of every prohibited item.

Use Content options to report an item; you can also email hello@yourstoryyourway.co.uk with a link, reason and relevant details. Do not redistribute prohibited content. If you believe a decision is wrong, reply with the reasons and evidence for review.
